Getting Started with the Platform
Welcome to the Proofpoint Information and Cloud Security Platform. The platform provides access to many Proofpoint applications.
Application Switcher
When you log in to your account, you'll land on the Proofpoint Information and Cloud Security Platform application page. (Your landing page will reflect your organization's entitlements.)
From here you can simply navigate to the Proofpoint application you want to use.
Proofpoint Information and Cloud Security Platform Menus
In each application the relevant menus are displayed on the left-side. Here are few tips for using these menus:

The menus display the options as icons.

To view the menus with text, just place your mouse in the menu area and it will open.

To switch applications, click on the application switcher in the upper left corner.

The applications that your have access to display on the left.
User Roles
User roles are defined and managed with access policies. Access policies are bundles of capabilities that you assign to users of groups or users. Capabilities define the read and write privileges of a user in the Proofpoint Information and Cloud Security Platform.
You can assign policies from the Proofpoint predefined access policies or create a custom policy.

Proofpoint Predefined Access Policies: Examples of predefined policies include Full Administration which assigns full access to all system capabilities and resources, Activity View which assigns view-only access to all monitored activity and List View which assigns only the ability to view lists. Proofpoint predefined access policies cannot be modified.

Custom Access Policies: You define the set of capabilities you want to you assign to specific users or groups. Custom access policies can be created and modified by a console user with sufficient privileges.
Dashboard
The dashboard provides you with a quick look at what is happening.
Depending on your organization’s entitlements, you can choose the widget you want to see. You can show up to 6 widgets Here are some of the widgets you can choose from:
- Risky Users
- Alerts by Day
- Alert Categories
- Active Users
- Used Applications
- Used Websites for Browsing
- File Exfiltrations by Destination
- Used Websites for Upload
- Used USB Devices
- Events and Alerts by Location
- 3rd Party Apps Activity
To access the dashboard, from the Proofpoint Information and Cloud Security Platform, select the Analytics app. From the left side-menu, select Dashboard > My Dashboard.
Getting Help
Online help is available directly from the Proofpoint Information and Cloud Security Platform, select the Analytics app. From the left side-menu, select Dashboard > My Dashboard. Just click the ? in the upper right.
