Dashboard Overview: Data Classes Discovered
What data classes were discovered for your sensitive data?
To view the new Dashboard, click your profile icon. In the New UI section, turn on the Dashboards toggle.
Cloud data discovered by DSPM is classified with industry standard data classes. Examples of data classes include:
- PII Personal Identifiable Information
- PHI Personal Health Information
- HIPAA Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
- GEO Geographical Location Information
- GDPR General Data Protection Regulation
- Other Data that doesn’t belong to an industry standard data class.
View the sensitive data, organized by data class, discovered for your data stores. You can view this information by:
- Object Count
- The list shows the number of instances and the percentage of data for each data class.
- The circle is divided into your data classes. Hover over a section of the circle to view the count for a data class.
- The total number of instances discovered for all data classes is shown inside the circle.
- Click one of the data classes (or a section of the circle) to view the sensitive data in the data class (on the Data Stores tab).
- Click View All (or the center of the circle) to view the sensitive data in all data classes (on the Data Stores tab).
- Monetary Value
- The list shows the monetary value and the percentage of data for each data class. This represents the financial impact if the data was lost, stolen, or compromised.
- The circle is divided into your data classes. Hover over a section of the circle to view the monetary value for a data class.
- The total monetary value for all data classes is shown inside the circle.
- Click one of the data classes (or a section of the circle) to view the monetary value for the data class (on the Data Stores tab).
- Click View All (or the center of the circle) to view the monetary value for all data classes (on the Data Stores tab).
